Apple HomePod Won’t Connect

🛠 Apple HomePod or HomePod Mini Connection Troubleshooting Checklist

1. Verify Wi‑Fi & iOS Settings

• Make sure your iPhone/iPad is on the same Wi‑Fi network you want the HomePod mini to use.

• Go to Settings → Wi‑Fi → ⓘ next to your network:• Turn Limit IP Address Tracking → Off.

• If issues persist, also toggle Private Wi‑Fi Address → Off (some routers don’t play nicely with it).

2. Restart Devices

• Restart your HomePod mini (unplug for 10 seconds, plug back in).

• Restart your iPhone/iPad and your router/modem.

3. Reset HomePod mini (if needed)

• If connection still fails, reset the HomePod mini:• In the Home app, tap and hold the HomePod tile → Settings → Remove Accessory.

• Or manually: unplug → wait 10s → plug in → wait 10s then hold the top until the light turns red and Siri confirms reset.

4. Re‑setup HomePod mini

• Open the Home app on your iPhone/iPad.

• Tap + → Add Accessory → HomePod mini.

• Follow the on‑screen instructions to reconnect.

5. Router/Network Adjustments

• Ensure your router supports 2.4GHz or 5GHz Wi‑Fi (HomePod mini doesn’t support enterprise networks).

• Disable advanced privacy/security features temporarily (like VPNs or firewalls) if they block setup.
